Moosejaw is all about selling the best outdoor gear and apparel in the world, and having as much fun as possible while doing it. Look for Moosejaw basecamp at Electric Forest this year. Here are a few things you can expect:
• A Moosejaw Salon
• Tons of great giveaways from brands like The North Face and Patagonia
• An unlicensed disco therapist
• Mimes
• The mimes may not actually show up

In case anyone cares, Moosejaw just won 1st place in OnlineVideo.net’s VIP Contest. We are pretty excited because this is a great reason to re-fill our candy dishes.

The guy on the right is Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind climber to reach the summit of Everest. He’s a full bad ass, is very handsome and once touched a chicken. Actually, I’m not sure if the last one is true or not. The other guy is Jack C, the winner of our Climb with Erik Weihenmayer Contest.
On May 20th Jack and Erik set to climb Quandry Peak (14,265 ft) accompanied by 50 other individuals from Soilders to the Summit. Jack shared an email with us that he sent to everyone on the summit team.
Team,
Getting to the summit was only icing on the cake compared to all the great people I met, many of whom were truly inspiring. I never would have guessed that winning [a] Moosejaw contest and [traveling] from Michigan would be such a rewarding experience. I hope to see many of you on future hikes, climbs, and summits.
- Jack C.

Great guest post today by Eric from Rochester:
“Erik Schuett has been a great customer in our shop for as long as I can remember, which equals about 3 years. Schuett is a great customer and more importantly a great friend to everyone at the Rochester store. He recently bought a new condo in the area and mentioned it to us here in the shop. A few of us told him that we would be more than happy to help.
On the day of the move our entire staff showed up at his house in the back of the Moosejaw Truck. All he saw was Moosejaw truck outside of his house, thinking that we had confiscated the vehicle for the day. When he opened up the back of the truck the entire Rochester staff jumped out, shocking him and Onyx, his dog. From there we helped him move his belongings from his old house into his new one, we even helped him pick up his new furniture.
We felt that this was the least that we could do for such a great friend of everyone at Moosejaw.”

We had to travel to two states to get the ice and the altitude we wanted to shoot for the 2011 season. Great pic above of Jeff shooting above twelve-five in 60 mile-an-hour gusts. The team are nothing less than BAs.
Here’s a nice compilation of some random words; wind, burn, hazmat, no hot water, you have to leave here since you don’t have a permit, falling tree, my f–king finger.
