Well, you asked.

I ran across this yesterday and thought it was one of the strangest things I’ve seen in a while. I am very much your target market and I’m kind of turned off by this so called “campaign” or approach.

Your “Love the Madness” and “Took it too far” stuff is kind of strange to me. Are you more into shocking someone or being radical than you are effectively and smartly marketing your product? I am in business and know your type if so.

There’s no clear connection between jail and your products and you failed to explain that in any copy that I can see. So my guess is your idea was something like “when you’re not outdoors, you may as well be in jail.” Well, I can tell you that’s not clear.

What appears clear is that you may have some kind of odd fetish and like to shoot cute girls in prison, and seem to care more about that then you do marketing your brand.

My advice to you and your bosses would be to get a real ad agency. They’ll do you wonders and not do strange, odd work like this that makes sense only to you, and in the mean time may offend some of your market. Or worse, completely confuse them.
