The Offical Moosejaw Badminton Tournament

Greetings Mildly Attractive Moosejaw Staff,

On the History Channel last night, I learned a very interesting and important fact about our nation’s history that I feel everyone should know. It has been revealed that the Civil War was actually settled over an intense game of Badminton between the leaders of the Northern and Southern armies.

Robert E. Lee had a killer serve that almost crippled the Union army, but Ulysses S. Grant made an amazing dive save on the Appomattox Court House lawn that eventually ended slavery, restored the Union and overall strengthened the federal government. Grant and Lincoln celebrated with a wicked cool chest bump, and then some kind of early form of the Cabbage Patch dance.

So in tradition of the Fathers of our great nation, Moosejaw will be holding our very own Badminton Tournament and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Here’s all the info you’ll need to know:

  • The sign-up deadline will be August 18th, 2009.
  • We’ll have sign-up sheets posted around the office/warehouse.
  • You can either sign up with a team (2 players only) OR sign up individually and you will be paired randomly with another employee.
  • If you sign up as a team, you must choose an employee from OUTSIDE your department.
  • Two games a day will be played starting at 3:00 PM (stay tuned for more details on when the games will commence and the full schedule.)

Please let me know if you have any questions about this, and I will do everything I can to solve them right away.

Love the Madness,

Scott
