Moosejaw Hockey Charges Through First Round of Playoffs

Moosejaw Roller Hockey defeated Royal Sloan USA 3-0 on Thursday night to advance to the second round of playoffs.

Goaltender Jim R. was forced to make a few dramatic saves in order to tally the shutout.

Goals came from Mike C. (2) and Colin W. (1)

We face the Scorpions in Round 2 on Sunday, April 5th. The last game against the Scorpions was lost 9-5.

Okay, now that my identity is out of the bag, when am I going to score a date for playing on the Moosejaw Hockey Team?!?! Look, I understand that Jim was the star of the show last week, but seriously, I must have at least a 6 game goal streak going. I should at least have one groupie by now! Even if she was like the weird creepy girl who is the only fan of Flight of the Conchords in their show. Seriously, if someone painted a strange picture of me wielding my hockey stick against a diabolical opponent, I would hang it with pride.

Congrats on the shutout, Jim! If I had only known we had a hockey team I would have stayed in MI instead of moving to AL.

However, I think I’ve met as many Red Wings fans in the south as I knew back in Ferndale…

Anyway, keep up the great work! Make those Scorpions wish they would’ve started a volley ball team instead!
